Digital Spy: Perfect Dark Review

Pegged as the spiritual successor to acclaimed shooter GoldenEye, Rare's Perfect Dark provided a real highlight on the Nintendo 64 console. Delivering slick gun play and a superb selection of weapons in single-player and multiplayer modes, the shooter swallowed up many gamer hours after its release in 2000. Appealing directly to the game's nostalgic fanbase, Microsoft has teamed up with 4J Studios to bring Perfect Dark back to life on Xbox Live Arcade. A full remastering hasn't helped the cringe-worthy dialogue and clunky cutscenes, but the new version of Perfect Dark looks better than ever before and is still an absolute blast to play.
