French PSM3 describes L.A. Noire as a mix between GTA, Heavy Rain, Broken Sword and Mafia II

In upcoming PSM3 Magazine, the editors seem to be very enthusiastic about the very mysterious L.A. Noire. From the article :
"After becoming the king of open-world, Rockstar is launching a new genre. A world of laws and intrigues which pushes to its limits the boundaries of the game of inquiry. Get ready for LA Noire looks like a major development."
"Sort of clever mix between GTA, Heavy Rain, Broken Sword and Mafia II, it already looks like a must-have."

Sounds like an interesting mix, especially the mixture of Heavy Rain and Broken Sword. Which I hope means that the adventure elements in the game also contain more traditional adventure elements.

With every game mentioned in the title my erection grew bigger. E3 couldn't come soon enough.

ThatArtGuy3495d ago

Yeah?!? Well, MY game is a mixture of Yo Noid!, Xenogears, God of War III, and Custer's Revenge!

TheTwelve3495d ago

^^^ Exactly. Mix too many things together and all you got is a mess.

Sounds like an interesting game, but I'm looking for that combination plus a bit of Yaris and Myst. You'll need to tweak it a bit more before I'll consider it.

having an investigation game in an actually open universe is a logical step imo .

One could only wonder why it wasnt really attempted before .

Rockstar isn't developing the game, they're only the publishers

Fishy Fingers3495d ago

You might want to be careful before you call people "wrong" in future.

"L.A. Noire is an upcoming video game developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games."

Marceles3495d ago

Right, Team Bondi are the devs

Kratos Spartan3495d ago

siyrobbo3495d ago

So a crappy open world game? Great...

gillri3495d ago

Awesome I like the comparisons with heavy rain and broken sword, looks like a much cleverer sandbox game than most

now more anticipated than Mafia 2, I am fascinated by films like LA :Confidential or Chinatown so I cant wait for this
