Commodore 64 awakes from slumber with makeover

The vintage Commodore 64 personal computer is getting a makeover, with a new design and some of the latest computing technologies, as the brand gets primed for a comeback.

The revamped computer will be available through the Commodore USA online store, which is set to open June 1, according to the company's Web site. The computer will be an all-in-one keyboard, with Intel's 64-bit quad-core microprocessors and 3D graphics capabilities, according to the site.

That isn't a new Commodore 64. It's a Cybernet ZPC-GX31 which Gizmodo but the C64 logo on.

Owned a Commodore 64 back in the original Nes days. Was a good combo to have back then.

wow got my first c64 in 1986. Loved it but hated 10min cassette loading games. after a few years the cassette would sometimes load for 10 mins and than hang so begged my dad to get me the 1541 drive. And in 1990 or so got me a amiga500.. Good times.. can't wait to see what the 2010 version of c64 will be like.
