ONM: Fragile Dreams Review

Fragile Dreams is in danger of shooting itself in the foot. It's a game like no other in look and feel, but perhaps developer Tri Crescendo could have taken some cues from other games in a number of key areas so that players would want to play past the first couple of hours and experience its haunting journey, because it really is a journey worth making.

But is getting critical acclaim and praise. A bit strange... Is it good or bad!?

Reviewers seem to be sitting on the fence, which isn't good. If it was a great game they would give it scores to reflect that.

I think i will buy it anyway because it looks original

i was just thinking the same. I dont get reviews systems these days. but it aint a bad score i guess. gotta wait for the rest of the reviews.

Well the issue is that it's a genre straddler, part P&C adventure, part survival horror and part JRPG. It's a great P&C Adventure but the combat is harmed by the survival horror features(inventory and breaking weapon)... and it has only light JRPG elements.

The biggest flaw is lack of lock-on for the combat though, which makes it clunky. Big oversight there.

oprainfall Games of the Past Review: Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon

oprainfall writes:

“If I had to describe Fragile Dreams in one word – and you can probably guess it – it would be ‘subtle.’ The all-around design of the game is subtle and it is an incredible experience because of it. It has its flaws, but they shouldn’t detract from your overall enjoyment of the game.

“If you’re someone who prefers their games to be action packed with quick pacing, this is not a game for you. However, if you are someone who loves to soak in the atmosphere of a game, I cannot recommend Fragile Dreams enough.”
