David Jaffe Gives Update on Next Game

To be fair there's story and script in pretty much every game. In other words, take it with a grain of salt. Don't get too caught up with his words.

I'm not sure why so many are under the impression it is when time and time again he's made statements indicating that what he's making isn't some huge, blockbuster type game. He downplays his game whenever comparing it to what's currently out on the PS3 every other time he speaks of it.

I just think if it were a new Twisted Metal he'd speak more boastfully/with more confidence. Though he may have lost a lot of confidence simply because of the poor sales of his PSN title Calling All Cars.

the PS2 port for twisted metal Head On said "twisted Metal PS3" at the end...thats where the rumors started...

he did state stuff about how it won't necessarily be eat, sleep, plays first PS3 game though...

he did say that the game would be a full standalone game...I am assuming meaning if it is Twisted Metal, it will be a complete remake of some sort that starts the series over...not a 'next gen sequel' per say, as not many people this generation even remember the twisted metal games that jaffe did and what they were about...

I am still hoping it is twisted metal...easily one of my favorite game franchises of all time...

I feel sorry for you, you must of owned a gamecube or xbox and got pissed off after realising how much it sucked compared to the ps2. Twisted Metal Black is the best out of the series because of how twisted and realistic the characters are in their own story.

Yeah we definitely need a new Twisted Metal. The PS2 generation had black but I was disappointed that we never got any sequels or any new entries.
Now with the PS3, I think its time. Imagine the possibilities of a new Twisted Metal Game. If done right and using the PS3's capabilities correctly, this could be one hell of a game.
Not to mention it will have a proper online component. I can't wait!

the guy next to Jaffe is Scott Campbell...one of the other heads of all the 'real' twisted metal games...he was one of the founders of SingleTrac and Incognito also...

it has to be twisted metal now...too many signs pointing to that...

I will be devestated if its not twisted metal. twisted metal is currently my most anticipated game. i started off gaming in 1996 when i was 5 years old and twisted metal was the first game i ever played and i also bought every game in the twisted metal series.twisted metal black was my first ps2 game and twisted metal head on was my first psp game. so twisted metal means alot to me. David jaffe is my favorite game designer and my idol hes made i hope i can become a great game designer like him

an action game in the lines of Uncharted or jack or even 8days would be awesome as he's clearly well gifted at creating awesome combat story games like GOW... oh well. we'll see. twisted metal was a pretty decent game back on the original PS and the PS2 edition wasn't bad either but i need something more. all this points to is More twisted Metal. at least he has 2 other games he's making for PS3. as he has a 3 contract deal with Sony.
