Just days after 2K Sports announced their NHL 2K series has become Wii exclusive, it has been discovered that EA Sports will be bringing their NHL series to the Wii for the first time with NHL 11.
Online support for a number of 2010 EA Sports titles is set to end next month.
NBA Jam ? w00t 0_o Thankfully I don't buy any sports games. I hope they are talking about NBA Jam disc based version not the On fire downloadable one
"The decision to retire older EA titles is never easy." That's also what they said when they shut down the servers for BF2: MC.
I think maybe with the release of pay for your own server on BF3 this is what EA might continue to use for all games giving an option for people who want to play it online.
I'm so sick of EA and all the BS, i'm sick of a lot of publishers anymore.
Competition breeds better products. Sports fans have been complaining about this for years, and when there is only one game available for a particular sport, it often leads to future releases that can be questioned for their lack of innovation. While sports like soccer, tennis, and baseball have multiple games for you to choose from, other sports genres haven't been so lucky.
Aside from the mediocre computer AI, it's a pretty good title. I'd also recommend MLB 2k11 (I have the Wii version, no online support, but it's still fun to play).
On ps2, I was the biggest NHL 2k fan, too bad they gave it away to EA...
"How many hours have Wii owners spent on the ice in NHL 2K11, since it released? Let's take a look.", says CoffeewithGames.
Have any of you played NHL 2K11, and if so, what do you think about the game...good and/or bad? Is it a sports series that you hope 2K Sports perhaps brings back in the future?
I haven't played it, but thought it sounded pretty good with the inclusion of WM+ and online with Wii Speak.
EA better not f@ck it up like they did Fifa 10
If EA handles it right, it looks like 2K will have a fight on there hands
