Technabob: I think we've all had our share of Xbox 360s go the way of the notorious Red Ring of Death. The same recently happened to Technabob reader Jasper Stevens, and he decided to do something about it instead of the traditional call Microsoft tech support; wait for cardboard coffin; wait for refurbished 360; pray it doesn't RRoD again cycle. Nope Jasper had enough, so this is what he did when his 360 bit the big one…

it's not because the RRoD has been fixed. it's because xbots and bot media have accepted it as the norm, as a part of owning a crapbox. bot buys a crapbox, well aware that it will RRoD in 3-6 months. and that's fine.

I thought the reason that the RRoD wasn't talked about as much is because you have to turn on the system for it do it. Seeing as how the 360 has no games and winter is about over, there is very little reason to turn it on.

I have not had any problems besides by cousins killing the disc drive by slamming the Armoir door on it. So frankly RROD is something that happens when you abuse your 360. You're not supposed to leave it on for 2-3 days straight, of course it'll overheat.

Have you ever left on your PS3 for 3 days straight? You know what happens? YLOD. I know both of these FACTs from experience. Most of you Droidz have never even experienced RROD, you're just jumping on the bandwagon and complaining with those who actually have a right to be bitter and angry.

RRoD is something that happens when you abuse your console? lmao, sure. It still doesn't explain how people who didn't abuse their console still got the RRoD (some people even got it about 10 minutes after they bought the console). You don't have to abuse your console to get it, it just happens.

As for leaving the PS3 own for 3 days straight, yeah I have done that. I didn't get the YLOD either and I left the PS3 on for weeks for Folding@Home.

The 360 hardware is just complete garbage.
