lol @ they playing their game IRL

i_like_ff75322d ago

Activision is seriously retarded. IW has some of the most talented dev's in the industry. They produced their cash baby now there killing them off?

BTW to the people who are going to just come and disrespect IW with "LOL IW Modern Warfare sucks" You idiots don't understand in the game industry all the money goes to the publishers. IW isn't rich. The amazing people there are there to make games that the publishers forces them to do.

"Man. I bet IW execs Vince and Alex (sic) feel like they just played their own game IRL. All the way to the end of the level only to get betrayed."

"IW falling apart? Way to go Activision, you just shot your cash cow. Dumbasses. Respect for those at IW if true."
-- Alan Kertz, Sr. Designer on Battlefield Bad Company 2

"Infinity Ward drama = scary/sad. What's next? Miyamoto leaving Nintendo?"
-- Ed Boon, Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat

should b an independent company, or bought by Sony or M$

When IW leave after the contract expires in October they cannot have the Modern Warfare series anymore.

This is why they are trying to bully IW into signing a new contract. Instead, alot of publishers are lining up to get IW on board with them to recreate the Modern Warfare series under a different name with enough change to not be the same game.

Modern Warfare is dead now, people need to realise this. The IP is partly owned by both Activision and Inifity Ward, they have to work together to make a MW3 and we know now Inifity Ward are going to walk away in October.

infinity ward are in pain seeing their own game getting dumb, lazy , overmiliked with the yearly release of cod, I feel their pain

it's a sad day for gaming, gamers, developers and the whole industry, our beloved CoD is gone shi!iit,IW CoD games are my favorite games :(

infinity ward, join sony, EA or microsoft game studios, they'll invite you with open arms, you can now fulfill your true potential with them

we love you IW

Activision's stock isn't tumbling, and didn't tumble yesterday either. It was fairly flat yesterday and is up a little bit today. The article yesterday about the damage to their stock was grossly overstated at best.

Exactly.

Bnet3435322d ago

Most of these were more funny than they were sympathetic. Ed Boon was probably smoking a joint when he tweeted what he did. Who in their right minds would even ponder that?

It seems Activision is intent on ruining there reputation, when they fall it's going to be hard.

Will be interesting to see what sort of numbers GP users draw in come tomorrow. It is believed that this is one many have been waiting for.

Darth,

That is not accurate; this game is old, and most people who want it have already bought it. You might get a small number of subs, but we will mostly see a good influx of players(not new subs) from people with Game Pass who will try it, which is what happened with D4.

CoD: BO 6 will be the test for actual sub numbers.

darthv7264d ago

That's fair... seeing as many have been saying they want CoD in GP. My comment was more of , now that its here... what can it do. Im sure there will be other titles in the franchise that will either entice or turn off different users.

No one's buying a console and signing up for a monthly bill just to get this game to avoid buying it. That's ridiculous. Besides everyone bagged the crap out of this on release for the 4 hour campaign.

andy8564d ago

Sweet. Never got round to it on release. I'll give the campaign a go

Severly underrated game. Big improvement over 2.

Why MW 2019 is still the best looking Call of Duty to date

MW 2019 is five years old at this point and on previous gen hardware, but it is still the best looking Call of Duty game to date.

MW was an excellent videogame. They messed up Spec Ops big time, but aside from this it was a huge step in the right direction initially. Most notably, at launch it seemed to come from a very cohesive creative vision that was felt across gameplay, to story to art style/visual direction. It was also very notably written by prominent ex-Naughty Dog guys that quit almost immediately before release.

That COMPLETELY dissolved through post-launch content and the full pivot to a "cross-mode" narrative that completely obliterated the cohesion in overall story direction. Warzone then "became" the new face of Call of Duty and the franchise completely removed itself from anything remotely creatively "good". It is a pure money machine, so I kinda get why they're doing it....but I personally completely lost interest.

I would love to see Infinity Ward move off CoD and get to make their own product with full control. They clearly have some massive talent in their ranks but it's perverted by Activision's corporate interests.
