NBA 08 on the PlayStation 3. It was the first franchise at 1080p and 60 frames per second when the PS3 launched and we've made great strides since and added a lot to NBA 08.
3. What did you do on this game that you couldn't do on another platform?
Thanks to the PS3's cell processor, NBA 08 runs in Full HD - 1080p and 60fps. Not up-scaled to 1080p. Not a choice to run at 1080p OR 60fps. True Full HD. At the same time, we have detailed sweat that you can see rolling down players' faces, head and eye tracking and facial animation for all 10 players at once. Additionally, thanks to the cell processor, we simulate cloth not just for the 10 players on the court but the bench players for each team as well. We also have such a variety in our arena crowds that you'll only see 2 in every 2048 crowd members with the same model, wearing the same clothes and doing the same animation. And we do this from our "Behind the Player" cam which is more demanding on performance (because more is being drawn) than the sideline or broadcast cam you will see in other basketball games. There is also a lot of new ball physics that has been added to NBA 08 as well as a total of 2,000 unique animations within the game and 4 times the amount of AI routines for greatly improved variety of gameplay. With art assets created with native 1080p in mind as well as audio, we also have more data than can be stored on a dual layer DVD.
EA SPORTS NBA LIVE 09 has predicted that the Lakers will capture their 15th NBA Championship by defeating the Celtics in the 2008 NBA Finals simulation. In a historic match-up that was last seen 21 years ago, the series lived up to its billing in a seven game thriller. It was NBA Finals MVP Kobe Bryant who led the charge, averaging 29 points and 6 assists per game throughout the series. With this victory, Phil Jackson set a new record by winning 10 NBA Championships as a coach. The Finals tip off this Thursday at 9PM EST on ABC.
Boston needs to win to increase their # of championships to 2 more than the lakers.

They must have been playing online and the Lakers were losing and pulled their internet wire out of the system. Boston got the loss and a DNF%. GOOOOOO EA!
After announcing last week that Madden would no longer be made for the PC, EA Sports has now stated that NBA Live has been canceled for the PC as well.
Since when people play sport games on the pc? pc are created for rpg's and shooters, bye bye
GOOD. Maybe now they will concentrate on releasing a game without the stupid slowdown and bugs. Its always fun when you are beating someone and they yank the cable and you receive a loss and DNF. EA ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!!!
Its embarrassing to admit, but I bought a bunch of EA games in the past year and have ALWAYS been an EA Sports fan. But recently they are really horrible and its amazing how fast a company can turn off loyal gamers.
Why are they the only ones saved from the garbage called EA Sports!! Save the consoles too!!! Get rid of EA!
I didn't hear about the madden news. What happened to their exclusive agreement with the NFL that said that their games had to come out on all platforms (which I assumed included the personal computer)?

Hmmm…the screen shot you currently see is of our PS2 NBA 08 game. We’ll replace it with a PS3 screen shot very shortly…I hope.
I'm tired of how sony always want to talk about 1080p at 60fps blah blah blah. The game still doesnt look better than 2k7.
