Does Hollywood Have What it Takes for Games?

The name of the game is "transmedia" at this week's Hollywood and Games Summit, where film and game creatives explain what it will take to bridge the narrowing gap between their respective forms of entertainment.

The traditional film and television studio world is meeting directly with game developers and designers this week at the 2nd Annual Hollywood and Games Summit at the Kodak Renaissance complex, in wi-fi distance from Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. For two days directors and designers from UbiSoft, LucasArts, EA and game development stars are up on stage with traditional media stars such as Clive Barker and writers/producers of Heroes, Lost and Transformers to discuss the nexus of game worlds and traditional media production and distribution.
