Maybe it would the nice if Nintendo drops the dual screen gimmick, and instead offer a more mature design similar to the psp.

One widescreen that is also a touchpad should allow a much better looking design.

If they dropped the Dual screen then it will probably be identical to the PSP2 but without as much graphical prowess.

If they dropped the dual screen then it wouldnt be called a DS. Its a trademark of their handheld and dropping it would alienate a lot of supporters.

kingpunch5586d ago

it would be kinda cool if they called it the super ds

mcgrawgamer5585d ago

that would be cool reminiscent of nes and snes, but ur dad wouldn't let you play it cuz it would interfere with your homework. Now get off this site before I call mr huxtable and tell him what your doing theo. Oh yeah tell Rudy I wanna mix my pop with her jello pudding.

she know what I'm talking bout.....

Battery life

Sure you can probably toggle it on off but then you still have the hardware in there and how much space is that going to add to the handheld?

Personally I like the DS as it is even though I don't use it too often. It's just needs to get updated graphics.

So is this going to be a legitimate successor this time to the ds, or another cash in redesign with little or no improvements, that the mindless sheep's of alot of ds owners will trade in a functional ds for the newest redesign of basically the exact same handheld.

At least nintendo excells at suckering alot of ds owners, to buy any and every redesign of the ds for the simplest reasons.

Errm... Sony also has 4 revisions for the PSP, it's not "cash-in" it's just the way to make your handheld survive for a little longer. The PSP revisions are even more simple.

Why are you guys trying to make the Ds2 looking like a iPad that's not right.

They kinda did in the Lego Clone Wars game. One of the stages or two was devoted to young Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar and Aurra Sing. Shame they never did the other seasons in Lego form. I believe it only covered the first 3 and pilot turned movie.
