Usually rail games equals a general disaster in gameplay if said game were off the rails, but not always.

Rails in part of a game = great gameplay like Red Faction Guerrilla, Gears 2, and the like.

Rails as a game = repetitive if the game is too long.

While I agree the PC is the best gaming platform,
for pure gaming you would actually need a wii, how many platformers are on the PS360? a PURE gaming experience is what the wii offers, just fun games, not a polygon count, not thousands of cutscenes that interrupt what little gameplay there is, not a console where every other game is a generic FPS.

For a pure gaming experience, a Wii and a PC are the best bet. The PC is a perfect representation for quite a few genres, and the Wii fills in the holes of the PC quite well. So, for the pure gaming experience, you need a Wii and X (For best results, see: PC).

Wii has some sick games. So does my xbox and ps3. My gaming pc can play most xbox/ps3 games that aren't downloadable. The xbox and ps3 miss so many quality wii titles there is no replacement.

I don't buy Wii games solely based on Motion Control. I buy a Wii game when the Wii game in question is good, and there are a lot of good Wii games. I don't buy PS3 games because A) I don't own a PS3, and B) Most of the games I can either play on my brother's 360 or my PC, or are games that I just couldn't see myself liking (FPS's, GTA, FF13, Heavy Rain). As for 360 games...my brother has good taste when he's picking out games, so I play the games that he buys. Less money to spend on my part.*shrug*

Its going to be a strong point for sony, bump wii games to 720p 60fps and release it on ps3 at the wii pricepoint or even on psn if its under 4gig it might even be the saving grace for the disillusioned wii 3rd parties. I would reckon it would double sales for certain titles @ minimal COST.

I play dynasty warriors gundam on ps3 and bikini zombie slayers with the wii. The latter is just as good despite the graphics. Tried wii sports resort? Grand slam tennis? The games are remarkably precise and I doubt anyone would care if they weren't. People play DDR on softpads, once again proving that despite the total cost of precision fun remains.

Like aiming on dual analog or shooting in dynasty warriors gundam is precise anyways. You're ignoring that 3d navigation is much less precise on an analog stick than 2d because of the freedom of movement.

Alot of games i see on the system have alot of other games included.

shovelware games are quite fun. its just the wii has so much of it, which i think brings the wii down. if you google shovelware, the wii is the 1st thing that shows up. if we talk about games the have value, and not made for a quick buck, the wii is doing pretty good.

although, with motion control coming for the other two, i believe they will see an increase of shovelware. and with best buy and target putting an embargo on shovelware games being displayed, or not accepting them anymore, they could easily move onto the ps360s, even more so with them complaining its not selling well, ubi, ea, and even sega. so they could take those crappy imagine series and put it on them. think how many they can sucker into imagine dogz on the natal. you can pick up and pet your dog.

All this talk of Wii games getting ported to the PS3 is making me hesitant in buying third party Wii games unless I have conformation that the game won't be ported to PS3.
