New PS3 & Blu-ray Player Sales Offers Announced: 7/1-9/30

The Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) has revealed an exciting offer for those of you who are still looking to pick up a Blu-ray player. If you purchase a Blu-ray player (including the PS3) between July 1st and September 30th, you will automatically qualify to receive 5 Blu-ray movies absolutely free. Combine this with existing offers (like the 5 free Blu-ray movies with purchase of a Panasonic DMP-BD10A), and you could receive up to 10 free Blu-ray movies with the purchase of a player.

But wait, there's more!

Yea, I guess. But it really kind of pisses me off that I adopted early and was bleeding blu from the beginning, and now I feel like I'm being chastised for it. There should be some kind of retro-active accreditation for people that already purchased blu-ray players. I actually still have the 3 month warranty from Costco I think, so I could just make Sony eat the loss. I already did that once though, because they packaged it with a crappy game, so I returned it and got a different package. I just feel like this is total betrayal of their fans that believed in blu-ray from the start. $20x5=$100 Damn, I think I will return it.

Talk about trying to put the nail in the coffin.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Toshiba will probally beat this deal, then blu ray will match that. Competition is great.
