Sometimes a better experience in a video game is brought about by a $100+ fight stick designed to mimic an arcade; but as KontrolFreek proved last year, sometimes it's brought about by a sub-$10 piece of plastic. The PlayStation 3 SIXAXIS controller is great and all. In fact, it's pretty much the same proven design as the PlayStation 2 DualShock controller, but with motion controls. Since getting a rumble upgrade, it's even better, or maybe like it should have been to begin with. But it still has the problem of its L2 and R2 buttons being more smooth mounds and less the indented triggers shooter fans would prefer. Most developers don't even bother using those buttons as trigger options, instead opting for the L1 and R1 buttons. Still, with the complexity of modern games, L2 and R2 still get some use, and PDP's Dual Triggers peripheral looks to improve upon the core controller for a mere $4.99, which nets players one for each of the two buttons.

The L2 and R2 aren't as bad as people make it out to be the design is a bit senseless considering it pretty much does nothing to give gamers finger resistance.
Personally I am waiting for rubberized triggers, that would be a treat.
springs? My little brother threw my dual shock down the stairs and the back triggers' springs got dislodged.
i love them. well worth the 5 bucks and cant play without them now.
I too have been using these for a long while now. Definitely an improvement from the regular design of the dual shock 3 triggers.
