Whooooooo whooooooooo i cant wait

fantasygamer5601d ago

im with you bring on some new games to showcase what this thing can do

MaximusPrime5601d ago

cool.

I'd like to see some new demonstrations. Hopefully something new.

bshubinsky5601d ago

I'd imagine that they'll probably confirm a name and showcase some devs who are going to integrate the product into their games.

FF13 one week, official news on the motion controller the following week, followed up by GOW3 on the 16th.

Death24945601d ago

the last ps3 motion controller trailer, we saw game already running on it. I think there going to go into more detail of what those games are going to actually be.
(e.g.) Scene that's a dark room and you're controlling the flash light.

Not a 360 fanboy but i think Natal will probably sell more. Simply because most of it's install base are teens and kids. Anything with bells and whistles can get their money.

This will be their most important demo for motion controller. They finally have something more substantial unlike at E3 where Natal was clearly much more media-ready and the PS3 motion didn't even have a proper design or name.

Now, after behind-the-scenes work Sony will finally release this puppy.

I can't wait to see how far they've went with it. They honestly weren't too ready at E3 but now they have games already implementing the feature.

This should be a real treat.

All I hope is that they fix the huge bulb and make it much more smaller or natural-looking and have an analog stick

@Alex

The Arc is the most rumored.

I am still hoping for something cooler, but we will see, Arc seems fine anyway.

Alex Kidd5601d ago (Edited 5601d ago )

Yeah it would be nice to see this demo'd with an actual upcoming game, hopefully we might finally find out what its official name is!

@Alpha-Male22

Kinda hope its not called Arc its not really relevant to what it is, the casual market (who they really need to support this) will be like wtf is an arc?

Killjoy30005601d ago

Like Project Natal and Wii are any better names. Arc is much more pleasing to the ears than either of those names. But in the end, it's the products that is looked at for quality, not the name. Wish the same could be said for software. (Halo, Call of Duty, Madden, Guitar Hero, etc.)

DaTruth5601d ago (Edited 5601d ago )

Are you kidding?

Did anything in their Natal demonstration go right? They brought a motion tracker that didn't track motion(Bam, there it is!!!), they brought Milo who wasn't even real, and have substantially changed its design since then, being that having its own processor was the only thing that differentiates it from earlier Sony cameras!

Sony need to show a design with an analog stick! And preferably, they should show dual and single use games and demonstrate dual on Demon's Souls!

Syronicus5601d ago

It's about time we get to see some deeper gameplay for the Arc. It will be cool to put some games in mind when considering this tech. Hope they have some cool stuff to show.

D4RkNIKON5601d ago

Exactly, Sony showed a REAL TECH DEMO of the controller LIVE on stage. Natal had a pre shot video of how Natal SHOULD work, their stage demo was a disaster! Splashing paint.. Fail, that was NOT art or even a landscape haha. Dodge ball and Burnout were the only things that were some what successful. Want to see the bottom of your avatar's shoe? lol

At least Sony PROVED their 1:1 motion to the world on stage that day instead of allowing select people to view Natal behind closed doors so that the world couldn't see it's flaws.

DaTruth5601d ago

Seriously, I would actually play "Attack trolls with Medieval weapons in an empty white environment Minigame"!

After a VGChartz monthly figures on N4G day; Many a PS3 owner will turn on their console and slash, bash and shoot trolls on the game whilst naming them Bungie, We Won, Mart and Nasim!j/k

Sorry guys, just picked some names for jokes!

-Alpha5601d ago (Edited 5601d ago )

Believe me, I'm much more hyped for the Arc mainly because I own a PS3 and because the lack of a controller turns me off.

However, I was talking about who was more media-ready, and that is definitely MS.

They have really good ads and their demo was much more involved and active, despite the few hiccups.

My point is that Sony wasn't too far into their motion controller at E3, but now they are ready to demo games.

MS is much farther into the process than Sony was, and it made people, like the media, focus on Natal more.

My point is that Sony is finally ready to show off the motion controller in fuller capacity.

The E3 demo was great, no doubt that they demonstrated the 1:1 motion, but they were not too far into the development: the controller looked ugly as hell, and it didn't have a name.

Now, with actual games, a rumored name and a redesign it's set to get the media's attention.

I dont think we saw the entirety of the motion control. We have rumors of fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, the concept of the controller being pushed even more (dual stick, breakaway controller, etc). The features it has with the EyeToy and more are all great possibilities that were not recognized at E3. I've always felt that if Sony was given a little more time or if E3 was delayed just a bit their presentation would have been even better.

beans5601d ago

I could of sworn I saw a couple demos on stage using Natal and a few vids with celebs playing a few games as well. Sony wand honestly didn't impress me because it reminded me too much of my pc cam while in motion. Hopefully at the show they can impress me more but I have a feeling it's going to be nothing more than a Wiimote with eyetoy features.

D4RkNIKON5601d ago

I agree with you, it didn't look like they were ready to reveal their motion controller. It was a work in progress and they should have done the same thing MS did and make a more professional video showing the possibilities as well as showing a stage demo. I can't wait to see more from Sony's motion controller. Sony had so much more promise than Natal but Natal took the show because they had a well put together presentation.

Nothing of Natal interests me, no controller = no good.

sikbeta5601d ago

This Awesome and all but the DAmn "arc" NEED a F#cking Analogue Stick and that's it

Peace out...

-Alpha5601d ago

That's my point exactly.

Not saying that PS3 was bad at E3, but MS was more prepared and more confident to reveal many details.

Now, with GDC Sony will be much more prepared.

SilentNegotiator5601d ago (Edited 5601d ago )

I'd really like to see an awesome sword-based combat game.

ChozenWoan5601d ago

Having a better commercial for a product does not equal having a better product. I could make a $1million dollar commercial for "crap in a sac" but would that make it a better than a flier that says I'll give $100 in a blank envelope to the first 100 people who brings me the flier.

To be honest, what MS showed with the breakout game, Sony had already showed years ago with the exact same tech. The only new thing MS showed was the paint program and we all know how great that was. Well I do admit including voice commands was nice, but to be honest he wasn't using the natal cam for that.

As for the "Possibilities" commercials and Milo... I could show you how much fun you could have with "crap in a sac" but we all know you can't believe everything you see on the net... otherwise I'd be a Nigerian Millionaire.

Hopefully Sony has a name for the system. We already know it works 1:1 in realtime so the question is, what games are coming for it. I'm hoping for a some more great information, but I'm also hoping they keep some of the best for E3.

-Alpha5601d ago (Edited 5601d ago )

"Having a better commercial for a product does not equal having a better product." I never said that.

For the third time, it only proved that MS had more to show and had poured in a lot of work to grab media attention. I never said anything about Natal being a better product. Sony on the other hand wasn't ready enough to do that, as they had no name or final design.

TotalPS3Fanboy5601d ago (Edited 5601d ago )

In other word, more Microsoft trickery.

i hope they have a full working controller, with a stick combined a separte wi chuck, the re5 demo looked good but using the stick on the remote didn,t.

hatchimatchi5601d ago

I'm curious what sony will use as their control stick.

Some people say that you gotta use the dual shock 3 controller but that hasn't been confirmed has it? That would be insanely stupid.

-Alpha5601d ago

And yes that would be incredibly stupid, but I doubt it.

I've seen many rumors about a breakaway DualShock 3 or the motion sticks coming together to form its own controller.

It's all very exciting. I just hope they have an analog stick somewhere on the thing.
