The second you lay your eyes on Twin Blades, its incredibly sharp graphics make it stand out from its peers. Unfortunately, the visuals are where the excitement ends. Though the full game is deeper than the trial version, it still doesn't offer enough. You spend the entire game slaying waves of zombies and even though there's some semblance of depth with the addition of new and upgradeable weapons and enemies that require some strategy to defeat, the game never rises above being a hollow experience.
Following the close of the ‘Must Have Games’ campaign on Windows Phone 7, this week sees the release of Twin Blades: The Reaping Vanguard v1.2. Available for download from the Zune Marketplace now, Twin Blades: The Reaping Vanguard v1.2 is a revision of the original Twin Blades: The Reaping Vanguard.
This Minis title released on Playstation Network by Sanuk Games shows off an impressive visual style that is outstanding of any other smaller title; with the gameplay to match.
"Twin Blades: The Reaping Vanguard, tells the insta-tale of Angelika, a giant-eyed scythe- and gun-wielding nun who must save her village from a zombie invasion. How’s that for an impressive log line? As ridiculous as the story sounds, there’s really no need to take it to heart, because Twin Blades is not a narrative-based game. In fact, it’s as simple a hack-and-slash as you can get."
