Modojo: America's Test Kitchen: Let's Get Cooking Preview

Modojo writes: "Nintendo's first stab at a DS cookbook, Personal Trainer: Cooking, was full of delicious recipes but didn't have an even amount per country. That was ultimately a deal breaker for some American gamers who didn't feel like eating Japanese cuisine. The publisher hopes to fix that with America's Test Kitchen: Let's Get Cooking, a more comprehensive and U.S. inspired piece of software designed to transform you into a culinary wizard."

DS vs. PSP: Five Ways Nintendo Clobbered Sony (Modojo)

Chris Buffa (Modojo): December 12, 2004 was the last day we went bonkers for something that released in Japan.

Said product was Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP), the captivating handheld that was supposed to uplift us from the "handheld gaming ghetto" (Sony's words) and deliver a console quality experience in the palm of our hands.

Nintendo clobbered Sony huh, yet the psp went on to sell close to 70 million units; interesting.

UNCyrus4735d ago

You forget to mention that this was Sony's first ever attempt into the handheld market. And the only successful handheld EVER released by any company other than Nintendo.

Sitdown4735d ago

The Game Gear wasn't successful? Also you forgot to add that Sony did it at a higher price point as well.......I think.

UNCyrus4735d ago

@Sitdown

Game Gear only sold 11 million units worldwide... not considered highly successful.

Ancient flamebait article about last gen systems? (well technically somewhat current in the case of the PSP). This is one of the less useful articles I've seen on N4G in a LONG while. And thats saying A LOT.

Pedobear Rocks4735d ago

33% market share from nothing...not bad for the PSP.

admiralthrawn874735d ago

not bad? yet if it was the opposite you would've said "ds had a meager 33% market share...epic fail"

Pedobear Rocks4735d ago

How the fuck do you know what I would say?

1998gamer4735d ago (Edited 4735d ago )

Well Nintendo has had no real competition at all until the Psp in the handheld gaming. So yeah if Nintendo only had 33% market share right now it would EPIC FAIL!

BubbleSniper4735d ago

this article crap an not even worth pickin sides....

grew up with 1000 lb. PCs an Nintendo

matured with PlayStation

growin old wit all 3.

throw this article into the firepit!

Ddouble4735d ago (Edited 4735d ago )

"Fast forward seven years later, and we own multiple DS systems and a healthy library of games. Meanwhile, those PSPs have either been sold or currently collect dust in our attics."

Speak for yourself. Mine is been played constantly.
Why do these articles try to make it seem like the PSP is dead. Are they not seeing the Media Create sales?

if some aren't games then why is the article best video games...and if they aren't best sellers what makes it the best, a matter of simple opinion?

deadreckoning6665067d ago

No Super Street Fighter 4 huh? Watevs, its his opinion.

darthdevidem015067d ago

What a flawed article, are they wanting hits with misleading headlines like that?

Not to mention they miss out some amazing games.

OMG, screenshot from Mass Effect 1 when he talks about Mass Effect 2, and that God Of War shot did not look like the GOW3 kratos model.

Rucury5067d ago (Edited 5067d ago )

Yeah, the screenshot is from Mass Effect 1.

However, that IS a screenshot from God of War 3. It's actually the ending. I know, Kratos looks weird...

Either that, or it is the ending of God of War 2... Oh, I think it's from God of War 2. Huh.

BiggCMan5067d ago

shows how much u guys know lol. it is in fact from god of war 2.

TheCagyDies5067d ago

Yeah, that shot is right after Athena dies in God of War II...

overrated445067d ago

I nitpick about every little thing because someone has a different opinion than me.

seij5555067d ago

How did this guy give Alan Wake a higher score than ME2 and GOW3???

saoco5067d ago

i was wondering the same...

kancerkid5066d ago

It is called an opinion. Sometimes people have different opinions than yourself. Get over it.

mcslick1015067d ago

To be honest, I prefer Alan Wake over GoW3 and would put Wake on par with ME2. It's just a matter of opinion at the end of the day and I think he nailed the best games of the year thus far.

Arnon5066d ago

I loved God of War 3. I beat it three times and received the platinum trophy for it. But I agree with you that I enjoyed Alan Wake more.
