this game will just be fun, I just wish their was more players on consoles. Still its a breath of fresh air next to MW2.

I can't find a time when there arent a ton of people playing on 360 no matter the time of day.

talltony3173d ago

Why would you not want more players? Coming from mag that's really the only draw back in bfbc2.

Eiffel3173d ago (Edited 3173d ago )

24 is enough, just because what one game did on a console did what games on the PC have been doing for years doesn't make it something of a desired need.

There is a huge point in which it becomes nothing but a spamkill fest with engrossed numbers of players.

BC2 is a great game. Loving the demo so far in comparison to the beta.

64 players for a Battlefield game was the norm back then. I dont understand why they had to limit them in the "next gen" consoles.

Pandamobile3173d ago

The same reason DICE had to make a completely separate BF2 for the consoles. There's no way BF2 could run on the PS2 or 360; and now, there's no way in hell BFBC2 could run with 64 players on the PS3 or 360.

So the BFBC2 maps were made with 24 players in mind, hence why the PC version doesn't have 64 players. It'd be a clusterf*ck.

"there's no way in hell BFBC2 could run with 64 players on the PS3 or 360."

O_o you're serious in getting away with that statement right?

Edit: ok i see what you mean, The maps are meant to be played with 24 players in mind.

I agree that there should be more players. 32 would be the sweet spot, to be honest. Killzone 2 had that, and look at the graphical ability it had!

But, it didn't have the destruction BFBC2 has, and I guess that takes a heavy toll on the consoles, so they kept it at 24. Oh well, 24 is still a good number, I think. The game looks great, day one buy from me.

if there weren't jaggies, low res textures and pop-ups. in every single frame.

Pandamobile3173d ago

Stop playing the console version and you won't have this problem.

Adam Sandler could be a better comedian.

CernaML3173d ago

Jaggies - Oh well. I find the screen tearing a bigger annoyance.
Low res texures - Err.. not really.
Pop in - Although the pop in was bad in the PS3 beta, it seems like they seriously improved that in the demo. I swear there is nearly 0 pop in compared to the beta. And the blown up tanks don't disappear quickly as they did in the beta as well. Maybe it's just me.

I would go for the PC version but so far I'm not impressed with the performance I get out of the beta. =\ Come on, a GTX 260 Core 216 should be able to handle this game without breaking a sweat.

Pandamobile3173d ago

The beta is an old build and doesn't have any of the optimizations DICE has been working on since January.
