Rockstar has confirmed that L.A. Noire will be released in the fall. This is confirmation against the speculation around Keighley's Twitter post.
EDIT @ Below: True
Northern Hemisphere: 1 September – 30 November
Officially the end of summer and beginning of fall is September 22nd.
Has anyone actually seen anything of this game since 2005 when they had the little reveal with the guy on the roof?!
Yup, Game Informer did an article on L.A. Noire this month. Edit: or next month but subscribers get it this month.
ROFL ! for all R* games you have to add a year and 2 delays to it to know its real relese date. not to mention R* already has MAFIA 2 coming out this fall wich was suppost to come out i 2008. theres no way there gonna release 2 mafia games set in the 50s. thats one thing i know for shure about R* is that they spread the games out through the year. that and delay just about every game.
I need more info about this game right now I only care about Red dead redemption and Mafia II, those looks awesome.
Thats faster than I expected, seems this game wont be vapourware after all.
Hey, is vaporware the biggest word you know? Just saying that in lots and lots of your comments you like to talk about vaporware. Oh, and it also seems that more than not you are just dead wrong. So again, biggest word you know?
Some good news to hear finally
Yes, the game is looking amazing, I can't wait to see the GI issue next month!
but the GI issue was a bit underwhelming visually. Everything looks a bit bland. The reason I say this is when I saw the RDR info in GI it increased my interest in the game a lot. The info for L.A. Noire didn't do the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I'm still excited for this game, but as far as increasing my excitement, the issue didn't do it for me. It is still very early however, so hopefully they can show some awesome gameplay.
hm, seeing as rockstar is being optimistic about a fall release for L.A Noire, i have a feeling it may be subject to a delay. Its sort of a trend for rockstar to delay their games which were meant to release towards the winter. Like in 2009, Max Payne 3, red dead redemption and bioshock 2 were meant to release around october-december. And GTA IV was supposed to be a fall release in 2007. Delays generally are bad for some consumers whereas for me and for the clever consumers its a sign of care and dedication for the will of the game to be a success in terms of quality.
I think any delay will only be better for us in the end, so I do agree with what you are saying. Rockstar is meticulous with any release they have.
I hope not...unless it's for something good
I dunno, I think that the storyline must be written well and executed well for this all to work out how they hope. It all looks very intriguing to me tho.
Yea I think it will be :) The story line alone of L.A. Noire will be amazing I think!
I don't think Team Bondi, the developer, has released anything mindblowing which would indicate that L.A. Noire will be anything special. The Getaway was less-than-stellar, averaging 77.48 on Gamerankings but went on to sell around 4 million copies... I dunno, I am not expecting anything special with this game. I could be pleasantly surprised, though.
Well, 4 million in sales is nothing to laugh off, even if the game got mediocre reviews.
Right, they had a great outing with Getaway, now they have had way more time, a much larger development budget, and with R* on board with the publishing from the get go it seems logical to assume that L.A. Noire will turn out to be a great game.
rockstar looks good red dead redemption, LA.noir ,agent, max pain, and of course the new GTA :D rockstar is probably going to have the best year
now release some gameplay or at least some information.
pick up the new issue of GameInformer.
I am looking forward to this game. I am glad that it is coming this year. I guess that makes Agent a holiday release if it is coming this year. Red Dead Revolver April LA Noire September Agent November/December?
No info on Agent yet.
that would turn out to be one hell of a year for R*, and more than likely us.
Yes finally can't wait to play it. L.A. Noire and Red Dead Redemption two great games to add to my R* collection.
