Typical overpriced Alienware stuff, Acer offers a 24'' for around 400.

Regardless of price, I'd take 3 =)

120Hz is the mininum so basically Alienware is throwing something out there that will be outdated less than 6 months from now. The same way 720i HD TVs got eaten by 720p and then 1080i and then 1080p.
Save your money wait for something better!

Not sure what your trying to say, Don't expect native 240Hz displays to be out for a long time..

ViewSonic, Hitachi, Sony, Panasonic, and Mitsubishi all have 120Hz refresh-rate LCDs or Plasmas.

ViewSonic has a 22" at 1680x1050 LCD for $228, Hitachi with a 32" LCD at 720p for $715, and Panasonic has a 65" Plasma at 1080p for $6,200.

But to be honest, I'm not excited about 1920x1080. Not for gaming at least, especially for PC. I'll wait for higher resolution... And of course lower prices.

Oh and Letros, 240Hz LCDs are already out. Toshiba has several, the cheapest is a 42" 1080p for $850.

bargain ordered six for wrap around 3d gaming

Those are post processed(an effect), this and (Samsung has a 22in I think) are the first native 120Hz displays to ever hit the market. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE!

It seems a lot of people don't understand what this screen offers. Many PC gamers have been waiting months for a monitor capable of Nvidia's 3D Vision that is larger than the first gen 120hz monitors.

I've read some of the early reviews, and it seems like Acers new 24" 120hz monitor (soon to be released) is superior, and cheaper.

JsonHenry3234d ago

Or you can just get a Vizio 1920*1080 120hz HDTV and game in 3D on your couch for close to the same price..

Letros3234d ago

No, you can't. Learn something about displays before you post.

Here's a nice list of ALL of the 3D ready monitors, LCDs, and Plasmas.

Heck, even laptops have 3D capable screens!

Yep...that's just a bit too much for a 23" screen :/

forcefullpower3234d ago

Letros3234d ago

Won't be long before they come down, by the end of this year I can see a lot of companies making the switch to native 120Hz.

divideby03234d ago (Edited 3234d ago )
