EA... don't mess up Bad Company 2 on the PC. Support it PLEASE.

Maddens Raiders5250d ago

that pic makes me want to lay down the lead and heal my mates. :P

mrv3215250d ago

Running around with defib is hilarious reviving people in the middle of nowhere.

I love working as a squad but what I love most of all is destroying a building with a camping sniper in.

Christopher5250d ago

BC2 using dedicated servers for PC? Looks like it's getting a TON of support from the PC community and that may likely be the reason... other than it's a beautiful looking and fun FPS.

tdrules5250d ago

its dedi servers on all platforms, just PC version will probably have servers closer to you due to the amount ive seen on server browser

Maddens Raiders5250d ago (Edited 5250d ago )

I know there are a few ways to bring down buildings (which is so satisfying) but to me there is extra satisfaction in being able to command and wield a tank like an extension of your arm as you clear buildings, objectives, and *snipers out of the way for your squad.

With that said there is also quite a bit of satisfaction to be had in running into the building with said sniper unbeknownst to him, slitting his throat and grabbing his dog tags and sniper rifle in the mix.

jeez I am such a lush for this game ^_^

CSGrey-Fox5250d ago

Can't be surprised it's number 1 after all the traffic it caused trying to download the beta Thursday. Which is great, I only hope that people will continue to support it long after release because I intend to play it for ages, squadding it everytime hopefully. Love this game.

ATi_Elite5250d ago

OH My friend don't worry Dice has a special version for the PC.

32 players instead of 24 and it has dedicated servers and this version has Directx 11 and many other features that harness the power of the PC.

The game is going to be MAJOR. GOTY

Incredible. Three months after the release and despite the controversy and criticism it still sits there in top selling games with all these big titles coming out.

tdrules5250d ago

it counts retail registrations too

led10905250d ago

MW2 - Love it or hate it but you just can't ignore it. IW has been 3 great MW games. One mistake isn't really going to cost them that much. Maybe thats why they don't care...

mrv3215250d ago

Atleast Bad Company 2 is top. I personally dislike the fact that the original didn't come out on PC... I think they should just re-realese Bad Company 1 within Bad Company 2 for the PC crowd.

GSpartan7775250d ago

@tdrules Stream sales only count games purchased on steam. The game requiring steam doesn't mean it was purchased through steam so no it doesn't count retail purchased.

@mrv321 obviously, considering MW2 has been out for a long time already and limited, beta and promotion for BC2 just started.

I'm really looking forward to this game. At the moment I have it pre-ordered on 360 and PC though I only pre-ordered the PC to try the BETA to see how it would run on my system which is a little old. I would like to buy it on Steam for the convenience of not having to put a disk in each time I want to play but its £10 more expensive to buy it electronically through Steam than it is to buy a hard copy in a nice case at an online retailer.

SimpleSlave72d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan72d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave72d ago (Edited 72d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Single A games and live service games. Those make sense

None of it makes sense. But its happening.

That’s up to Microsoft they want return on there investment. From buying up those publishers. That’s what there in business for. And they made a mistake putting day one exclusive on game pass. So now Microsoft wants to profit any way they can.its called buisness . Just like Sony putting games on pc a year are two after ps5 launch.
So if they can make money off PlayStation and Nintendo. They will do that. And I bet soon real soon they will release some aaa exclusives .and I bet one day it will be same day release

Sony gamers begging for Xbox games.... Who would've thunk it?
