BoomTown: Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter Review

"The goal of all life is death," Sigmund Freud once claimed. For a theory with obvious depressing connotations in the real world, that succinct observation of his applies delightfully to the core attributes of all Serious Sam games, and probably most games in general. It's the age-old tale of a fearless one-man army in the absence of a worthwhile narrative, filling his time with the indiscriminate destruction of countless enemies, all of whom have burst into existence exclusively for their subsequent descent. In short, they live only to die.
