Videogameszone published eight brand new HD screenshots of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
ffs is it so hard to release some PC screenshots DICE? after all the time spent belittling Infinity Ward for looking down on PC customers?
Well, all the pretty screenshots they released so far have been taken on the 360 build (with ehnanced texture resoultions, particle effects, anti-aliasing, and overall game resolution). So we can just assume this what the actual game will look like on PC with max settings.
zing! to console owners!
Looks good, I want this game so badly.
pre-orders went out on steam yesterday for all you pc gamers. See you in beta in a few days :D
Just pre-ordered on STEAM today. Beta starts the 28th!
preordered with steam ;-)
is sweetwater in this one
Forget Sweetwater, I hope Haggard is in here.
They're all there. They brought back the entire cast from the first game.
these aren't in-game
Yes they are. (not in real-time on the 360, but this is what the PC version should look like on high settings) At least that's what one of the rendering architects at DICE said.
Not just high settings, but ultra high AA too.
If this is representation of the pc version (which I doubt), than the pc version is going to look like crap. Those low res textures/shadows and low poly models are not up to par for a modern pc game. I have a feeling these are just plain ol 360 settings running in high res.
I also don't think this is the pc. It doesn't look bad at all but knowing DICE they'd spotlight pc version screenshots.
But the game looks great. Does it follow a particular story line?? In other words, do I have to play BF1 to get into the game??
You mean Bad Company 1? The only Battlefield games with any kind of story are the non-canon Modern Combat and Bad Company games. Battlefield 1942, Vietnam, 2, and 2142 are all multiplayer.
The story isn't that significant, so you don't really need to play it. You could just read about it if you really want to.
looking forward to it.
I was in the PS3 beta and i can say from what i've seen the game will look this good on consoles if not better this game would be a day1 purchase if it wasn't for FFXIII, I guess I'll pick it up a week or two after it release
Wise move... it's take EA a week to sort out the servers and another week for everyone to get used to the game. I adore the Battlefield series but I have yet to see a real major release be launched online without a flaw in some way. Don't get me wrong this game will be great but I'm giving it a week before I buy.
Why don't you pick it up first day and play the single player while they workout the kinks? If you're a trophy whore you can play the game a few times to obtain your single player trophies. Just a thought.
If those are PC shots on max settings, then it's pretty disappointing. With the DX11 implementation and all, I was hoping for a much more detailed graphical achievement.
The Xbox360 version holds up to what is being shown in these screens. Have any of you see the GTTV episode where the single player was shown? DICE have came up on there offer of offering Uncharted 2 quality after watching that episode. http://www.gametrailers.com... Those cutscenes are AMAZING bias aside and he gameplay is smooth and beautiful. 360 is still fighting with the best. They go more in depth with the single player. They show more than that premiere trailer. Look at that damn detail.
I saw the GTTV trailer, so the story is clearly coming along well, plus they used Queens of the Stone Age which makes it an instant win. I can't wait personally, the beta was amazing. I hope they made a few more things totally destructible.
um 360 never had a beta just ps3 so the screens are either ps3 or pc no 360 here
SO because the PS3 had the beta the 360 version is locked away in some dark dirty damp cupboard never to be seen till launch date? In the Single Player videos on GTTV it seems to be all Xbox 360 footage.
These are very old. As is everything that comes from this site.
this game will be tight, I like MW2 but battelfield games have much more too them.
