At the Paradox Interactive Convention earlier today in Sweden, Ageod showed off a quick glimpse of their upcoming title, Rise of Prussia. The historical strategy game focuses on the European campaigns of the Seven Years War, which lasted from 1757 to 1763. Players will have the option to select one of two sides: you can choose to be the Soldier King, Frederick II and save Prussia, or you can choose to be the coalition forces of Austria and destroy Prussia outright, changing the course of history.
Matrix Games and AGEOD are proud to announce the release of the turn-based historical grand strategy game Rise of Prussia Gold on our online store.
The latest in the series of strategy masterpieces from AGEOD will be available soon on Matrix, Ageod and Slitherine Stores
"There was a time when the PC strategy genre was an exploit that owed more to tabletop games than it did any other gaming genre. The genre certainly had its hardcore and loving fanbase, but it was always associated with that very specific niche as it barely broke ground with the casuals. Then came Warcraft, StarCraft, Command & Conquer, and a host of other strategy titles that pulled it out of the niche and propelled the series into mainstream popularity. The genre took on more action elements, offered more intelligent AI that didn’t require a lot of micromanagement, and added beautifully rendered battle scenes."
