TouchArcade: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars – iPhone 3GS, Nintendo DS, and Sony PSP Go Comparison

TouchArcade writes: "In the wake of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars [App Store] our forums have been host to a great discussion surrounding the game, and something that has been popping up quite a bit of debating the merits of each of the different platforms that Chinatown Wars is available for. Since when has handhelds not been part of gaming culture? As long as there are games/platforms, there will be debates.

ya i suppose, but it seems kind of pointless you know... its not like the game is gonna be a graphical powerhouse or anything.

I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but I must say, this might actually be the first hardcore game I've played on the iPhone. Like I actually stop playing L4D2 with my buddies to tell them I'm going to play a GTA on my iPhone.

In respect to the article, I think it's great that iPhone games are "worthy" enough to be put up against the DS and PSP. The big difference is price-wise, I'd much rather pay $10 than $30.

I'm usually not a big fan of the touch controls since they can be a bit imprecise and I have a penchant to push buttons with my games, but the creators did everything right with this port and it feels like I'm playing it on the DS or PSP. Don't hesitate paying $10 for this game. It's worth every penny.
