Here's a listing of the best and worst Xbox 360 games for improving your gamerscore..
the achievment system has me hoooooked lol . i'm on 47k but by the time i get through command and conquer 3, forza 2 , dirt and shadowrun i should hit around 50k+ . thanks microsoft for giving all games a purpose lol :) .
Yes, because God forbid people actually play games to enjoy some time by themselves or with friends and have fun for fun's sake. While I enjoy Achievements as a whole, it's the disgusting manner of thinking you just described which makes me wish they were never thought up in the first place.
Use Gamesaves much?
eclipse i also play my games for fun too lol . i think u have taken what i said the wrong way . razer game saves lol people who use them r sad f%$£ers . game saves dont even work n e more . it was said that ms but a stop to that a whail ago . my 47k was hard work .
i can do with or without the gamerscore. one more thing why is it that most people on here are afraid to post their gamertags for either 360 or PS3. what are most afraid of.
..I'm not afraid !
PGR3 was fukin hard to get achievements for 10,000 GS and i cud only manage 350ish from PGR3
The Call of Duty points are pretty tough to get. I got through the veteran campaign of both 2 and 3, but it took a while...
Oh awesome now i can go get a hella high gamerscore! Oh wait we don't get anything for them...
And the point to improving one's Gamerscore is what, exactly? I can aim further in online pissing contests?
It's like adding a second set of missions to game that all for fun. Or it gives your more of an urge to play through a game and give you more value.
Xi, I completely agree with you, however what you are detailing are Achievements. Achievements in and of themselves are great for many reasons, including the ones you mentioned. What I was referencing, however, is the rooster crowing (I find it amusing that I cannot write down the alternate word for "rooster", which is what the term actually is) Gamerscore, and its seeming importance amongst "hardcore" gamers. The article here is detailing games in which one can increase his or her Gamerscore, and my question is simply, why focus on the Gamerscore at all?
an online pissing contest. However I love playing games. SO I have a fairly high gamer score (upwards to 15k) I also use it as a checklist to see if I have done everything that there is to be done in the game. Personally I do not like the achievements for online matches in COD3 its time consuming but Im enjoying it. also for the guy above that mentioned gamertag. My name is my gamertag feel free to hit me up sometimes on LIVE.
i pick my game and before i even play it i look at the achievements, pick a few out that seem easy and aim to get them just by playing the game then if i miss any that sound fun i give the game a second run and try to get what i missed im so dumb i didnt realise you could grenade tag on gears of war, but playing through a second time i learned about it, so gamescore is fun, you get points replay value extra fun ingame an if your like me you might just learn a few things that you may have never known if you didnt give the game another go
I started to hate that game near the end too damn long and the achievements sucked. I mean they want you to go the whole game without using the bullet time feature and if your finger slips while pulling the trigger you just lost that achievement in 20 hour or so game. And to play that game for just 75 achievement points really sucked. That's because the game play sucked.
Isn't this just a small copy of IGN's feature of a few weeks ago? Anyway, nice to know what games to play for gamerscore.
