RunDLC writes: "'Whoa, baby, this is serious!'
Early in the 2000's, Croteam took a diverse turn from conventional first-person shooting game design, opting to do with something far more over-the-top – and hilarious – than most Quake and Doom players expected. The result was Serious Sam, a thrilling entry into the genre that's still fun to play after all these years. (We still have the backwards-compatible Xbox version, actually.) Devolver Digital's given the game the high-def treatment with the release of Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, finally on Xbox Live after a month's delay. It's definitely a good-looking product, with hours' worth of thrills, but there could've been more to it."
