Visceral Games intends to release a Collector's Edition of Dead Space 2. "What's in it?" you ask. Well, you're going to have some say in the matter.
I'd love an artbook...I love those, lol.
Oh no wait, that's been done, haha.
I like artbooks, but I like writing in them, like character profiles. I LOVE steelbooks, so one of them please. Some exclusive skins, Sound track...
Give me a couple free redeemable codes for upcoming DLC and maybe a dead space action figure that I can dismember then put back together lol... with a wall scroll and a blu-ray version of that deadspace anime movie, since I have not seen it yet. just a thought..
"Give me a couple free redeemable codes for upcoming DLC" That's the best idea ever.
I'd really love for the Special Edition to come in some sort of special packaging, something like to the God of War 3 Ultimate Edition or the Legendary Halo 3 Edition... My idea for the Packaging would be a VERY detailed life sized (or near life sized version) of the Issac's helmet in Dead Space 2. In addition to that the eye areas of the Helmet are able to light up/glow brightly in the dark just like Issac's in the game... it would be one hell of a night light, that's for sure. For content's I guess an Artbook, Behind the Scenes DVD/Blu-ray and a Mini Strategy Guide. Something like Free Access to 1 DLC pack and 1 piece of Add-on content would be nice too.
A metal case similar to RE5, with both the game, an artbook, and a behind the scenes disc. Oh, and a replica of the Plasma Cutter.
Collectors addition should include PS Gem controls for the game.
Motion control, in my Dead Space? Oh HELL no.
"Dead space 2 collectors Edition: EA Wants your money"
maybe a model of the usg ishimura.
That, my friend, as a f*cking awesome idea. I vote this.
Like the one in the Captain's bedroom in the game. Thats a brilliant idea. Would have suited a CE of the first game more though. As someone said below a model "marker" would be a good one and still relevant I assume
Am I the only one that wants a severed hand in the collectors edition?
Personally I believe Collector's Editions are a waste. You pay extra for stuff that just sits around collecting dust. BTW, these collector's editions won't be worth anything in the future because you open them to play the games. So unless you're going to buy a standard edition to play and a collector's edition to put away, then there's no point in stupid plastic replicas, behind the scenes (if you've seen one, you've seen them all, just people sitting at computers talking about their game, maybe some footage of voice actors) and art books with coceptual drawings you can view for free online. Oh, and you might get some unsightly large box to put all the stuff in, something that doesn't blend in with the rest of your game boxes and takes up extra shelf space.
^^^ look boys, we got a live one here ! lol, actually i have to say I agree with you. I have stopped buying Collectors editions now. last one i bought was forza for the usb stick and keyring. I don't mind stuff like that. but for example, i won't be getting the special edition of mass effect 2. I felt stung with the first one. also, the special editions now drop in value a lot quicker if you try and trade them in. I asked the manager about that at my local game shop and he said it was because people tend to buy the normal copy pre-owned, not many people buy special editions pre-owned so they are worth less to them. having said all that, if the special edition of dead space 2 was worth it i would get it. It was my favorite game of 2008 above gears 2. So, make it worth our while EA.
Don't use a tin case. Those things are ugly.
I like models with my collectors edition, Or something that seems relevant to the game Good Examples - GTA IV Assassin's Creed Sreet Fighter 4 The Godfather 2
i havnt even finish dead space 1. the creatures wernt anything special, just rehashed from that dreamcast game lol
I think a Necromorph head or the Marker would make a pretty cool collector's item
I loved the first game very much, even got sucked into buying the anime film that came out at the same time (which was not to bad). Am really looking forward to DS2
...start writing in to these devs especially after glancing at the latest Gameinformer article...
10 to collect, 5 pieces for each character, 1 in each box, when put together 1 character is a villian and the other a fallen hero. idk what purpose this could serve besides, perhaps, encouraging local multiplayer gatherings(have to think about it a bit), and making for two very hard to come by, collectable action figures. course i don't think this should be in the collectors edition, should come standard, i wouldn't charge an arm and a leg for..an arm or a leg.. oh i just got another idea, totally unrelated to this bizzare idea; some game should bring about a return to hyper polygonal graphics, as seen in early playstation 1 games..that'd be purty. alternatively, back to Dead Space 2, a more practical idea would be a limited remake and release of dead space extraction on disc for the Ps360 platforms.
