IGN: The Future of MMOs

A decade ago there was a definite distinction between single player games, multiplayer games, and MMOs. Feeling lonely while you're playing? It's single player. Yelling angrily into a headset? Probably multiplayer. Able to perform a /dance? MMO fo' sho'. But then something began to change. As broadband and wireless became more and more prevalent in homes, developers began to look into new ways for players to interact with each other.
