After reading the articles title I thought, would have to be something with a good MP, but apparently it can't be. Assassin's Creed 2 was aswesome but I don't think I could play it for much longer, the new Ratchet is still keeping me interested after 3 playthroughs. But I'll go with GT5 because that game will have a play time upwards of several hundred hours, even without the MP.

Yeah, Demon's Souls was the first game I thought of as well, but remember that there's no mp, which spoils a lot of the fun of Demon's Souls.

I'd go with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 because I played NG2 on my xbox about 5 times and still have had the desire to play Sigma 2 twice (so far). Plus, all the missions and challenges makes it a game which will last long, and I doubt I'll ever master it.

Fallout 3 is definitely a contender, after spending over 150 hours playing as one character (50 hours as another) on my 360 then buying all but one of the dlcs, playing through them all. Buying the game of the year edition for my PS3 after my 360 crapped out on me (it being the only game I owned for the 360 that I bought again for the PS3) I'm around 40 hours in and still loving it.

As great as Fallout 3 is though and as sick as we all are of hearing it praised I gotta, I haffta, I simply must pick Uncharted 2. I must have played all the way through it a dozen times, not to mention playing one random level just about every night and it's still just as fun as my first playthrough. I don't even know why, it's just instant fun and never gets tired.

The campaign is a solid 10 hour push through some of the most bombastically epic set pieces in gaming with a cinematic opus few games will be able to match for years to come. Believable characters, excellent graphics, unique storyline and a variety of locations easily makes the story alone extremely repayable. Not to mention the inclusion of tons of treasures to find and a ton of unlockable skins, weapons, visual filters, and gameplay tweaks and you have countless things to work for. And that's just the single player.

Then there are two addicting as crack cooperative modes to fly through with some close friends, after which you battle it out against them in competitive. Hell, you can even relive these moments with the incredibly implemented cinema mode. Add to the recipe no lag and continuos live updates and a multitude of modes and we have a winner.

Well it would have to be an open world game or some type of game with infinite levels and re-playability.

I would choose 1 of the Grand Theft Auto games or LBP.

If I had to make a decision I would say GTA: SA because its the longest and most detailed GTA in terms of content. Plus you can make your own fun and not follow the story because of its open world nature.

I guess one could also just create their own levels in LBP forever.

I think a GTA game or LBP make the most sense because regardless of how good other games may be, even RPG have a beginning and end and there is but so many times one can beat a game and not eventually get bored of doing the same thing over and over again.
