Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Dated For U.S.

Kotaku writes: Already released in Japan to monster sales, the 3 million selling Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver has been dated for the U.S. market.

The games are remakes of Game Boy titles Pokémon Gold and Silver, and their 2009 release in Japan correspond to the 10th anniversary of the titles. The games are bundled with a pedometer called the "Pokéwalker", which can increase experience and in-game currency. These peripherals can also be used to trade items.

HeartGold/SoulSilver will be out in the U.S. on March 14.

There are just too many good games coming out in the US this March! GOW3, FFXIII, Pokemon, and maybe GT5!

Even though I loved the old gold and silver games, I won't be picking either of these up.

Not after the rediculous wait for diamond and pearl here in the UK, with the games turning out to be mediocre rehashes of the same, worn out Pokemon formula with slightly better visuals and annoying touch screen controls. Until they properly update the series I'll be passing on every game.

But the same fanatics will rush out to purchase the game regardless of what the devs do, even though the game hasn't changed since its first iterations. Isn't it time to actually do something new Nintendo?

Knew it. Buying a DS lite for SoulSilver. Although the date was on sites, I went into a local GameStop the other day, and they told me April, just April.
