With the release date of O Games forthcoming Wii exclusive Safar'Wii now set for early next month, Electronic Theatre has today received a whole new batch of screenshots taken directly from the game. Previously set to be published by Oxygen Games in September last year, O Games now hold the publishing rights and will finally bring the title to European retail in February 2010.
In Safar'Wii the player assumes the role of an animal photographer visiting animal island with the purpose of sending back photographers of the wildlife to your superior. Players can chose from just two characters, either a female or a male. Once you have named the character, the player is met on Animal Island by Robo-maru, a robot who will guide and transport you around Animal Island. Robo-maru gives a short tutorial in which your task and the controls are explained. The tutorial is clear and easily understandable and the player is given plenty of time to practise the controls.
GameShard writes: "Safar'Wii isn't the sort of game that will appeal to everyone- in fact, in some ways it's not really a game at all- but as a piece of entertainment with educational value it packs in plenty of content and wraps it up in an easy to access and fun to play package, and comes easy to recommend."
SquareGo writes "Safar' Wii claims to, "make the dream of getting close to wild animals a reality." No doubt there are many Wii owners who would love a detailed virtual safari to explore at their leisure, free to gain the trust of the wildlife before photographing them at their natural routines. Well if any of those gamers do buy Safar' Wii they are going to be disappointed."
