Nintendo Wii is going to have six new powerhouse titles, Electronic Arts recently announced. Some have been known for months, while others fall into to the "We had no idea!" category. The six custom designed titles are: Madden NFL, Need for Speed, Harry Potter, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR, SSX and The Godfather.
The key phrase is "custom designed". According to EA, "Each title will remain true to the hallmarks of its franchise but is being designed to maximize the power of the Wii hardware and take full advantage of the uniqueness and innovation of its one-of-a-kind controller." This would seem to rebuff those rumors that Need For Speed: Carbon would be a generic title and not take advantage of the Wiimote.

"The Novato-based (CA, the US) indie games publisher Mindscape and Geneva-based (Switzerland) indie games developer Lakeview Games, are today very happy and excited to announce that their chaotic physics-based party game collection "Pool Party", is coming to PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch) in 2024." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
