Motorstorm Expanded

When it was released in March, MotorStorm cut a huge muddy path of racing carnage across the PlayStation 3. Set in the off-road tracks of a large desert festival in Monument Valley, players had access to seven vehicle types, ranging from big rigs to dirt bikes. With the only rules of the competition being that there are no rules, racers could bump and crash their way to the finish line. However, one of the largest complaints lodged against the game was the limited number of tracks that players could fly through as they tried to collect the event tickets during the game.
All of that is about to change, as Evolution Studios and Sony Computer Entertainment will be rolling out new downloadable content for MotorStorm in the next few months. The PlayStation Store will soon provide brand new game features, modes and vehicles for MotorStorm racers to take into Monument Valley. It will even unlock new festival passes, such as the Coyote Revenge VIP Pass that will give completely new tracks and races. Instead of simply telling you minor details about the upcoming content, we managed to get a video interview with Paul Hollywood from Evolution Studios, who breaks down some of the new items that you'll be able to download. Check it out below, and as soon as info on the upcoming content becomes available, we'll get it post

i`m pretty sure its all free too and it should be its not the deepest game out there. but a great one on every other level, great game.

the other half of the game, it should be free.
Why would anyone disagree with you dude?

Anyway the title should say "Pockets Expanded" and by pockets I mean their pockets.

Man, Sony is like M$ now...since the game was lack of tracks..they should release it for free....If they have 20 more cars and like 8 more tracks...maybe I will consider buy it..

two totally different things. There is nothing like Motorstorm that XBox has in their library. If you can't afford it, you should proabably quit blogging and get a job.

#5 - there is no way they can do it. This game is TOO MUCH for that kind of watered down kiddie crap experience. If you you owned it, then you would probably know that.

I always wondered what the reason is.

All store designs are the same, its just that you have to have and HDTV or Monitor in order for it to display like that.

Kleptic4738d ago

yeah I agree...

he even admitted in the interview that they had all this stuff, nearly complete, and couldn't include it because of time constraints...

Not all of it should be free I guess...and at least the time attack mode is still free...the gameplay of Motorstorm is fantastic...but the menu and lack of certain features definitely gives the impression that the game was is tough to say that it has a lack of tracks...i bought the game at release and still struggle to remember all the different paths on each track...different paths aside, the tracks are some of the biggest I have played in an off road game...

hopefully this content is worthwhile...

how about offline multiplayer... like every other racing game out there? Annoying.

Kleptic4738d ago

there were reports from them on various websites before launch that it was because of graphical problems...pertaining to the lack of split screen...not because "they thought we didn't want it"...which sucks, and makes it less likely to show up on a patch...

I just want them to make a patch to fix the stupid car loading other game, ever, has as bad of loading problem when selecting a car...and they are skins only anyway, there are not specs or other physics related stuff to even load in the first place...more evidence of the game getting rushed to shelves...

oh least the actual racing itself is about as great as it gets...
