"Kid-centric games are always fun to review partly because I get to play them with my kids and partly because it forces me to remember that not all games cater to teenagers or adults and that games should be judged based on their target audience. However, kid-centric games also have a certain stigma attached to them in terms of lacking quality and playability. Throw in a movie tie-in and this is usually a recipe for disaster. Fortunately, Disney Interactive's The Princess and the Frog does not appear to be such a game."
Sadly, for those seeing the company's name and visualising such classics as Castle Of Illusion, Mickey Mania and Kingdom Hearts, here's another for the miserably long list making up the latter category. Developer Griptonite, with several middling film-based titles to their name, emerge with their iffy reputation relatively unaltered here.

While the movie wasn't quite a traditional retelling of the original tale, the infusion of a New Orleans setting provided a pretty quirky adventure with tons of original music, beautiful animation and solid voice acting that brought to mind classic Disney films of yore."

Anyone who's been to the Big Easy has likely tasted one or more of these delicious meals, which have also been incorporated into the big screen Walt Disney Studios animated film, The Princess and the Frog. In the movie, Tiana, Disney's newest princess, dreams of one day becoming a chef and opening her own restaurant in the French Quarter. In the games, which serve as a sequel to the movie, she's actually running her own restaurant, Tiana's. Today, New Orleans is home to over 1,000 restaurants, which feature Cajun and creole cuisine that have been classics for close to 300 years."
