Famitsu Most Wanted: Final Fantasy XIII still hasn't moved, Halo 3 gone

June 10th Famitsu's Most wanted list shows that the top few from last months, and in fact the past few months hasn't changed at all. The lower half however have been shuffled a little and it looks as though Halo 3 has been knocked off the list by Mana-Khemia: Gakuen no Renkinjutsu.

Looks like some of those individuals that were contributing to Halo even being on that list got a look at the Beta, and decided it wasn't worth it.

It's not like Halo 3 not being on the most wanted list in Japan is a big suprise. Japanesse gamers love Japan made RPGs, just look at the list. Half of the games in the top 20 are RPGs.
Halo is geared more toward western gamers - come on, we all know that;)

6 wanted RPG games on the States most wanted either. Japanese gamers are not there yet with the whole online gaming experience, unlike the Koreans and online PC gaming(they love FPS's over there).

Anyhow Japanese love their RPG's, I Guess. What else is new...

Plus I think "GATES #2" wants the record for most "disagrees" or something like that. Somebodies requesting attention..

japanese not with it on the whole online?! Seeing that they were online during snes days that's kind of an odd statment. They just don't like shooters that's all.

oh and side note... DQIX is on my most wanted list as well ^^

I'm not saying japanese gamers never went online..hehe but more so, it's not like korea and other parts of the world, where online gaming Rocks. I just don't think they have embraced online gaming for which FPS games have help the penetration of broadband access..

This is a good article...

I read somewhere that Koreans have the most broadband penetration..

There are so many factors in Japan, I think, that region is still a mystery to Microsoft and company. The biggest factor, "LOYALTY".

From that article..

"However, Japanese gamers proved pretty tightfisted when it came to shelling out for game fees and extra items. Nearly 70 percent of respondents stated they used games that were completely free. Only 17.7 percent played games that had a monthly subscription fee, and a mere 8.0 percent were willing to play games that charged them to purchase items. Furthermore, of those who play this last type of game, 17.4 percent said they never actually purchased items, choosing to make do with whatever was available in the game for no fees."

Makes you wonder why SONY went with the "FREE" online, and they also cut prices over there in JAPAN before launch. Sony knows Japan is it's strongest selling point, if it does not have Japan, then they might as well call it quits.
