Jordan Lund examines the quality and quantity of games released for each console platform in 2009, with some interesting results.
Excerpt: "Nearly 1/2 of all games scoring 90% or more were on the PlayStation 3, making up 5% of all PS3 games released in the year. The 360 came in second with 7. The Nintendo DS a distant third with 3. The PS3 saw a total of 60 games released scoring 80 or better, best of all the platforms and 80 games scoring under 70. This results in a ratio of 1 good game for every 1.33 bad games, the best ratio of any platform in 2009."
Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II was an intriguing and unique RTS title, that sadly suffered in its console port.
Was just thinking about this game and wishing I had a way to revisit it. The way EA scrubs these titles from existence once their licensing runs out is horrid.
