As the (English) name suggests, the game is a rhythm action title which sees players trying to keep up with the notes of a chosen song's drum part as they are displayed on the screen. This can be done with the buttons on the DS, though it's undoubtedly far more gratifying to tap away at the touchscreen with the 'drumstick' styluses supplied with the game.
Bandai Namco announced a new contest for the Taiko: Drum Master arcade gamers in Japan.
Taiko: Drum Master for Wii U promised free downloadable music and it’s delivering on that front.
The Taiko: Drum Master series made PlayStation 2 its first home. Then the series moved to Nintendo DS and was on Wii for last generation. While there are Taiko: Drum Master games for Wii U and 3DS, Namco Bandai also made an iOS version.
