The latest software top ten sales estimates in Japan from Famitsu have been released. Final Fantasy XIII has fallen out of the top spot this week.
I'm personally happy to see that Spirit Tracks is at number two. I knew it wouldn't be a number one with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but the game deserves good sales. Really enjoyed it.
Everyone knows FF13 will do another 2 million in Europe and another 2 million in the US. And maybe another 2 million on the XBOX total. Plus the 2 million in Japan will mean it has sold 8 million worldwide. Sounds like every Final Fantasy to me.
wow you just proved to your self that your stupit you win this award i hardly give out and thats the fail award *hands award* http://www.youtube.com/watc...
I'm guessing, not many people like the changes on it.
it could be that 1 in 4 ps3 owners already bought it too...
Final Fantasy games have always dropped like a stone. 1.5 million first week means it will struggle to cross the 2 million mark in its lifetime. Extremely frontloaded. Well done Mario!
Even if it did drop to number 4, given the huge numbers last week, I'm sure it still sold a lot. Besides, the attach ratio for the game is insane.
Final Fantasy X (PS2) 1 1,906,152 2 254,290 3 93,401 4 51,515 5 40,998 Final Fantasy XII (PS2) 1 1,819,872 2 242,040 3 89,133 4 42,108 5 25,925
where are the actual numbers? All I see is a list of one to ten.
Basically, here's how it works: 1. Famitsu posts their software rankings. 2. Media Create posts software numbers, usually top 30, later in the day/early the next day. 3. Famitsu posts their software figures, with numbers, the week after. So, basically, we're going to have to wait a little bit before we see actual numbers.
Nice of you to explain.
New Super Mario Bros Wii higher than FFXIII WOW what happened to Japan, no wonder SE gone multiplatform
"WOW what happened to Japan, no wonder SE gone multiplatform" Yeah like Star Ocean 4. ;) Edit: So where are all teh 360 games? Oh I forgot they got none.
'WOW what happened to Japan, no wonder SE gone multiplatform' Yeah, because they're going to sell so many copies of FFXIII for the 360 in Japan...oh wait, it's still PS3 exclusive there. This article doesn't even post actual numbers, so the differences between numbers 1 through 4 could be minimal, or they could be massive. How many copies of FFXIII have been sold in Japan so far? What was SE's sales projections for Japan, and where do they stand in respect to meeting/exceeding that goal? Simply insufficient info in this article to validate your logic, or lack thereof, but when has that stopped you in the past from posting fanboy comments?
Good old Omega4... Let's see if the 360 version will reach 1 million. :)
The fact still remains that 2 million copies are sold. That's 2 out of 5 PS3 owners buying it.
LOL why even bring the 360 into this its not even mentioned Im just shocked that FFXIII didnt sell more, specially when you include all the imports and the fact that it was no.1 on Famitsu like forever. Just seems weird for NSMBW to beat it.
"LOL why even bring the 360 into this its not even mentioned" Then why did you bring "multiplatform" into this? It's not even been mentioned too. Huh?
Wow Omega4 you really need to prove how much of an idiot you are? So what it never outsold it this week? It did on its launch and has a higher attach rate than NSMB in fact it has a higher attach rate than Halo 3 in Japan on 360. Since we going that way. Also how many 360 games you see on that list?? Oh wait... None.. Because well I wont go there ;)
it's not weird at all for a Mario game to beat any game anywhere in this world you know! it's mario for god sake!
not a surprising list WOW where are the xbox games, i thought xbox gamers bought games, no wonder why most of their games are multiplatform and are on the way to being miltiplatform(see Star Ocean/Tales of V./Eternal Sonata/bio shock etc.) see what i did there :)
not surprised as half of the ps3 userbase in japan has already a copy of ff xiii, that fact alone is impressive.
you do realise that the attach rate for FFXII in Japan is stronger then Halo 3 in the US?
