Resonance of Fate Demo = Love At First Sight

DualShockers writes: "I've been looking forward to Resonance of Fate for a while and I finally got the chance to get some hands-on time with the title when a demo for it was released on the Japanese PSN yesterday. (Note: If you want to snag it and give it a try, it's called End of Eternity in Japan.)"

The game has a lot of potential. But if the demo gives away all gameplay then I will be a bit disappointed. The combat is extremely fun, but if all we do is run around a dungeon slowly and every screen has enemies then it's not what I'm looking for. Again though, the combat is very well done. It's like Advent Children with guns. I'll be looking forward to the customizations. Knowing it's Tri-Ace and that Star Ocean has deep customizations Resonance of Fate shouldn't be any different. The combat itself reminds me of the Star Ocean series though there are big differences.

I loved it too. Those who are thinking the battle system will get stale are high. This game is developed by Tri-Ace who has done the Star Ocean Series. While I wasn't a major fan of Till the End of Time or The Last Hope's story the battle systems were I N C R E D I B L E! Star Ocean: The Second Story back on PS1 is still my favorite game of all time.

The only thing I'm worried about for this game is dialogue/voice actors combination. The Last Hope was by far the worst dialogue ever in a RPG voiced by the worst cast of voice actors. Hopefully that won't happen here. :(

the demo was great ..i enjoyed it more because it watched the battle trailer from the store before playing it ...

it definitly helped

I'm glad to see that tri ace still have the inspiration to make good battle focused rpgs

If you even think of doing that I shall kill you, I'm sure I won't be the only one to kill you if you ever go work for Microsoft, they don't deserve your Boom or your COME ON

Liked it as well, but it was still a bit confusing as I was merely running trough 3-5 different rooms then suddenly some kind of panic mode starts and things get rather odd.

But most likely in the final game there will be a tutorial and it being English will probably clear a lot confusion left by parts of the demo.

This is one of the reasons I love gaming. I played the demo myself today and found myself *really* enjoying it. This is the kind of RPG that I enjoy - unique, beautiful, and just plain fun. I am definitely looking forward to this game and am crossing my fingers for a swift NA release.
