Welcome to the idyllic English countryside to the village of Little Riddle. You are a top detective from the Blue Toad Agency and you're supposed to be on holiday. However if TV has taught us anything, it is that no detective can go on holiday without encountering a murder, or in this case a series of murders.
This gently comedic murder mystery game has been released through PlayStation Store just in time for Christmas. There are two episodes to get you started with four more on the way and they cost £6.29 each, or you have the option of buying the first two for £9.99.
Pocket Gamer: Blue Toad Murder Files doesn't feel like a port of a PS3 game. It feels like a title that's found its rightful home after a couple of years of wandering. The simple gameplay translates perfectly to the touchscreen of your iOS device, and the gentle pace is perfect for an evening spent reclining on the sofa.
It's by no means a perfect game, and there are some issues with load times in particular with this version, but if you're looking for a series of interconnected mini-games held together by comedy stereotypes then you're in for something of a treat.
Relentless Software has announced that Episode 1 of Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mysteries of Little Riddle is now available for free on the PlayStation Store in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America.
