Tetsuya Nomura on Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep still doesn't have a solid release date in America, but the first PSP entry in Tetsuya Nomura's freewheeling Disney/Square Enix crossover epic is just about wrapped up development-wise.
"We're in the final push -- making text fixes and so forth," the Square Enix director and character designer said in an interview with Famitsu magazine this week. "It's a pretty complex story this time, so we have to make sure everything's in order with it. We're fine-tuning it so even people who don't know the series can more-or-less understand what's going on. I'm pretty sure all the work will be done by the time this interview's published."

"In addition, Nomura also hinted at "an unannounced project which is moving along faster than originally expected." He wouldn't reveal any further information about it, but apparently "development's going smoothly and we started voice-recording work recently" on the title.

Finally, there's one more unannounced title, though that one isn't a completely brand-new game," Nomura closed. "Look out for that one, too."

Kingdom Hearts 3 please!!

I really hate these KH spin-offs. Just bring on KH3.

And we PRAY FOR it to be either:

- Kingdom Hearts 3
- Final Fantasy VII (re:FFVII or FFVII-2 possibly) after the recent comment from the Crystal Chronicles director:

"No, no, no and no... (laughs) Someone in the company will carry-out the remake of Final Fantasy VII, but not me. It will be an enormous project for whoever does do it. With the current technical specifications, it would be very difficult. But someone will do it."

Nomura DID direct Advent Children. So that's a Possiblity.

Also, him saying it's not entirely new, to me, that's suggesting it has to be either those two to me.

But I'm just throwing out theories.

NO i hope the game he is talking about is Final Fantasy Versus XIII, once that game is out of the way we'll definately get out FFVII remake.

Edit: nevermind, got swept up in the moment..he said unannounced so it couldn't possibly be Versus...aww dang..

Comes out January!? Sweet. Hopefully the American release isn't too far off. Would be nice to get it in March but dunno if they want to steal anything away from FF13. SO maybe August is it's like Dissidia's release.

give us at least :15 sec of gameplay from either KH3 or Versus so I can at least see how they look like now...

Was Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep a Masterpiece or an Exercise in Tedium?

Overall, Birth By Sleep is an important slice of the Kingdom Hearts series, and shouldn’t be missed out on if you’re looking to get into the series. Granted, some of the features and moment-to-moment gameplay is lost when it transitioned from the PSP to modern consoles. But nonetheless, one can’t deny its overall importance to the story and the impact of its mechanics and systems to the series overall.

i like it, but its just too much "friendships are the key to our power" bs.
don't get me started on them minigames lol

i think the game had tremendous potential for essential online gaming and other things. but they didnt do a whole lot with it in the remaster.

i would, however, consider it to be one of the harder games in the series, which is good
