The legacy of bad movie games lives on! Or does it? The game accompanying the release of the movie is trying to ride the hype train to a few extra bucks on the side. So how well does it stack up to games of the same genre? Pretty decently, actually. With some captivating visuals, interesting side missions, and a wealth of things to do and upgrade, there are some serious pluses to this title. Of course, Avatar has one thing going against it: it's genre's history. In the past, movie games have usually been a wasteland of plain ideas executed poorly. Luckily, Avatar tries to innovate on those ideas as well as execute those tried and true methods of gaming. It is, of course, an action-adventure game, and so you are constantly having to kill as many bad guys as possible to reach an objective.
