Let's be clear: the Video Game Awards (which have all the crebility that an awards show can self-proclaim to have), are not US-only. There is no "international" category: Canadian-developed Assassin's Creed can win Best Action Adventure game, and everyone's favourite Australian, Hugh Jackman, can take the prize for Best Performance by a Human Male. Most importantly (of course), UK-based Rocksteady Studios claimed Studio of the Year.
So why does it appear that Japanese games are snubbed unless there is no other option?"
