Enjoy this, the debut trailer for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 from the 2009 Video Game Awards.

Obviously CGI. I wish they'd show actual gameplay. Anyways, I've VERY disappointed
CGI... The hell? Sign me up to the disappointed list.
but if this game makes full use of the Playstation Motion Controllers and implements it well, then I'm willing to give it a chance, granted that this one gets good reviews.
The coolest thing about this trailer is when the Rancor gets tossed in front of the Jedi, and I was thinking, "Uh-oh, what the hell could have done that?" That was awesome. As Qui Gon Jinn said, "There's always a bigger fish."
Guess it's time for me to pick up the 1st one then :/
it is the best star wars game where you control a jedi
I though you said "control". :) The game was great, but unfortunately the controls were terrible. I hope the second one will be even greater, by incorporating proper controls this time.
to add /sarcasm on that. Star Wars Force Unleashed 1 SUCKED, period. You want to know how to make a GREAT Force Unleashed? Copy "Star Wars Jedi Knight : Jedi Academy" gameplay, use the same pretty graphics as force unleashed, add all that new physics technology and PRESTO : GOTY for sure. Jedy Knight : Jedy Academy remains to me as the single best Star Wars action game EVER: the gameplay is PERFECT, you feel such freedom, such a control of the force, such control of the lightsaber... It's not just hack-n-slash, you actually feel like you are the one using the Force :D No need to reinvent perfect gameplay when it already exists.
Very disappointed. I was hoping for a new battlefront game or and RPG.
!SPOILER ALERT! Didn't starkiller die in the canonical ending of the first one? Will we be playing in an alternate universe now? !SPOILER ALERT!
Starkiller lives in the Dark Ending which I guess they are using that one for the sequel. But Isn't he got his faced blown and wore a mask and armor(which is bad4ss btw) at the end of the dark ending ?
That... also the good ending is supped to be part of Star Wars cannon. (It's how the rebel alliance is formed after all). Edit: Anyways, that won't stop me playing the game, though.
The only way to continue the story is from the light side ending. But that raises the problem of "how?" The way I see it done is just not having him die. Like he's in a self-imposed Force coma. I mean, it's not like Vader or the Emperor would get rid of the body themselves, so that leaves lackeys doing it. Lackeys who could be killed thus letting Starkiller escape--aka the "1st level" of the game. The level where Vader "betrayed"the Apprentice--stabbing him, breaking his bones and throwing his body out into space--serves as the perfect example of the feasibility of this scenario.
The first game sucked but people bought it. I wouldn't count on much changing. I hope if they fix one thing at the very least they fix the camera problems that rendered the first game unplayable.
The first one didn't suck and they won't leave it the same because people bought it. That's the reason they're making a sequel. It was their first current gen (360/PS3) game and their first time using those (Euphoria and DMM) engines. They'll also look at the feedback for the first game and I'm sure they'll make a great sequel. Did Ubisoft make AC II the same as AC? NO. There were a lot of improvements and additions. I'm sure LucasArts will be doing the same. I hope TFU II is to TFU what AC II was to AC.
I don't think the first one sucked. Playing it felt like playing a current-gen sequel to Jedi Power Battles.
I think it sucked. Controls were sloppy & impercise. When I came accross platforming levels with those janky controls...I kicked that game to the curb & moved on to other games.
I loved FU and can't wait for this one. The use of the Apprentice is a little worrying though.
We want Battlefront III !!!
At the moment i'm playing 'forces of corruption' which is an awesome starwars RTS, I was secretly hoping for a sequel, nothing cooler than controlling a fleet of star destroyers...
is this shi# , i would have been more happy if the announced a rouge squadron follow up for the wii - where the heck is battle front 3
because the first game sucked!
thats what everyone wants from lucas arts, wtf.. I want Battlefront 3!
I didn't have any problems with the controls! I thought being able to wield force powers was awesome! The story, graphics, and controls were all good to me. It got a little repetitive, but what game doesnt? That and I did hate pulling down that star destroyer..it was a pain in the butt! Other than that, I thought the game was awesome!
and you didn't have problems with platforming? dood, i spent 30 minutes trying to jump to this one ledge and he kept missing it, or landing and slipping off... the story was okay and defiantly did the job of filling the gaps in canon, but yeah, the platforming SUCKED... i nearly threw a controller at my cat because of it.
I don't recall having a problem with the platforming...although it was a long time ago and I've obviously played hella games since then...oh I do remember having a problem making a particular jump, but it was my fault cuz I wasn't doing the double jump force move that helps you cross big gaps. So that wasn't a problem with the game, just my personal fault. Bottom line for me is that I don't think the game was as bad as some people make it out to be. I think peoples expectations were maybe to high. Was it the best SW game ever? No that would belong to Star Wars Knights of the old Republic. Was it the worst? No as well..SW Teras Kasi gets my vote on that one.
but as authentic a star wars experience as they tried to make, the lightsaber combat was horribly undercooked. enemies should not have a life bar when im slashing with a light saber. maybe they should make "the lightsaber unleashed" felt like i was bludgeoning stormtroopers with a giant carrot
I am looking forward to this game. I loved the first one.
