Why did they nominate Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for Best Fighting Game for Xbox 360? That game came out in 2008.

Uncharted 2 has good chances to get GOTY 2010. It just needs to beat MW2. This time it's not like last year's MGS4 vs GTA4. Uncharted 2 has a wide target audience, unlike MGS4 which was made for fans of the franchise.

Also I hope PJ Shooter gets best PSN game. This game is incredible (even better in co-op)

sad thing is, UC2 isnt getting anywhere near the love it should from the ps3 fanbase. it will be brushed away and MW2 will win solely on sales alone.

console gaming is killing gaming as a whole. however im glad ND made such a great game like UC2. this shovel ware crap that 98% of console owners eat up because thats the only game out this week is such a drag....

Wow. Both of Twisted Pixel's games are up in 'Best Platform Game' for 360. That's the sign of a good developer. I want The Maw to win.

Also, utter lack of J&D:TLF on PSP nominees, I thought it was pretty good myself.

Just my opinion. I know that if I ask 10 gamers theirs, I might get ten different answers! But, killzone is so hardcore and awesome to me as a 43 year old gamer from way back, I have to salute GG's work! ( aside from the horrible dialog ) killzone 2 is hands down, no question the most hardcore game I've ever played! LOVED every millisecond of it! Will never trade or sell it even if killzone 3 is way better! lmao!

actually, there's only a very slight level of aim assist compared to most console shooters and the gun recoil more than accommodates the sense of realism and difficulty of shooting a weapon on full auto. also, the mouse and keyboard combo is hell of a lot more accurate than dual sticks.

whatever the case is, the recoil is very manageable in counter strike.

aim assist is still aim assist. When I played kz2 it was very noticeable. I'm sorry but thats not hardcore. and in cs you'll find the best shots use an ak. Why?

The recoil is terrible but the first shot is always pinpoint straight. That's all a real fps gamer needs.

something tells me you get your ass cremated in killzone 2 lol. i've played both and i know CS is definitely a hardcore shooter, but so is killzone 2. they're difficult to master in their own ways. i will say CS's fanbase is extremely dedicated and full of borderline psychopaths, but that doesn't take away the brutal nature of killzone 2.

There are only 3 games deserving goty Batman:AA,Killzone2 and uncharted 2. That Killzone 2 wasnt included in the vgas as game might be because every journalist had to eat its own words of Sony can never do this there is no way they can get anywhere near that target render of 2005 and they were proven wrong. They tried to nitpick everything bash the gameplay and the only thing people came up with was that it wasnt cod cause on everything it deliverd so they like to forget how they had to eat there words sad for guerrila games cause those guy deserved a nomination.

right because that's exactly what it was....forget the horrible textures, laggy controls, 30 fps

You realize almost EVERY game runs at 30 FPS...including Uncharted 2...which is, hands down, the most gorgeous game available on any platform.

oh shut up evrfighter, you only ever moan about rubbish.

Some textures were not that great, yet alot of them were higher in resolution and quality than any other game out on consoles.

The controls were just fine for me and not to mention GG's support has allowed them to enhance the experience to amend to moaning farts like yourself who never seem to ever want to play anything that feels slightly different.

and 30FPS is just fine for me, the game is well aliased which helps, sure 60FPS would have been phenomenal, but the difference really isn't that huge, unless you're one of these people who happens to have a Good PC.

KZ2 had an engaging singleplayer (minus diallogue) and a great multiplayer with really good support.

The lighting was brilliant, the physics were really good, the areas of destructible items reacted incredibly believably and the 3d smoke effects wowed me... part 4 in the squared off area where we join all but Garza theres a moment where you clearly see a helghast run in through the smoke and it's truly amazing.

Sorry, but I've had WAY more fun with Buzz: Quiz World than I ever could with Modern Warfare 2.

Still a great experience, but Buzz is so much fun!!!

Not usually a fan of these lists but glad to see there's a little natural justice when MW2 gets nominated for PS3 and Xbox360, but not PC.

Anyone who would have nominated that game for the PC would have been shot at dawn.

Sorry folks, I don't have a PS3, no doubt UC2 is great but I only experienced batdude, so yeah, I loved it.
