Nintendo Drags U.S. Video-Game Market Lower as Wii Sales Slump

Wii sales dropped 38 percent to 1.26 million consoles, while those of Microsoft's Xbox 360 declined 2 percent to 819,500, research firm NPD Group said yesterday. Sony's PlayStation 3 sales rose 88 percent to 710,400 after a 25 percent price cut in August and the release of the hit-game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," New York-based NPD said.

Yeah but Sony picked up the slack by nearly doubling the amount of PS3's it sold this November compared to last November.

He's basically saying, "Nintendo drags American VG market despite having the top two hardware sales for November." I don't see how Nintendo dragged anyone down.
