Left 4 Dead 2 Review | The Goozex Report

Left 4 Dead 2 has cheap gameplay, cheap weapons, cheap graphics, and a cheap premise. The game doesn't offer a true single player campaign and doesn't even pretend to have a story (except that zombies are taking over and you have to escape). This is a $30 game with a $60 price point (at the time of this writing you can buy it new from Amazon for $50).

"The game doesn't offer a true single player campaign"

That's because it's a multiplayer game...

No game should be a multiplayer experience only. Especially NOT on the Xbox 360 where you have to pay to play online. Not everybody has the time to dedicate to playing through an entire level without interruption.

Play on PC. Examples: TF2, CS, CS:S, Shattered Horizon, Unreal Tournament 3, and Day of Deafeat: Source. Those are only some examples of games that are multiplayer-only or multiplayer as the main focus . They are doing very well, especially CS and CSS being games 5+ years old.

I can't see why people wouldn't sit through 30 minutes (that's usually how long I take to get through a single campaign).

You trollop... World of Warcraft?

Just because you don't, doesn't mean there isn't a player base for it.

I'm looking forward to trying L4D2, but I can wait. I liked the first game, and this one looks cool, but like you said in the review, it doesn't seem like a full-fledged sequel.

Wow. I am shocked to see this game get basically torn apart the way it did.

This review is quite flawed imo.
It appears to all be centered around the guys personal opinion rather than the reality of stuff like graphics, audio, gameplay for people.
Plus I'm guessing quite a bit of the whinging is because he got left behind in one of the rescue bits, poor him.

And I disagree with the whole idea of people that like L4D and MW2 will be different.
Have to say, I like both. And most of the people I know that play one, happily play the other.
But then again, this is obviously just a way for him to try and avoid harsh comments about the review, use that as a scapegoat.
