Next Borderlands DLC Gets Name, Price

2K Games and Gearbox announced today the name for the next Borderlands DLC pack. It's called "Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot." It will be available December 29 on XBL and January 7 on PSN for 800 MS Points or $9.99. No date set for the PC release yet. The add-on, which supports both singleplayer and co-op, adds three new Riot Mode arenas along with a new bank feature that allows extra storage, and the ability to acquire two additional skill points as quest rewards.

co-op is overrated if you have skill solo is the way to go ;)

Heck yeah Borderland rocks! Getting this dlc is a no brainer

(oh and just in case yes I was just joking about the co-op remark 0.o)

Two more Skill Points? :-)

I predict my lvl 50 Siren will be unbeatable.

Kind of miffed that they are putting the storage in DLC rather than having it in the game from the get-go, but will definitely be picking up this DLC when it comes to PC.

i predict my lvl 50 modded Siren would pwn yours, esp with modded weapons. this game has unlimited potential with mods. just wish they would fix it for the PS3!

KwietStorm_BLM5675d ago

If you have skill solo is the way to go? Sounds like you just dont have anyone to play with. The game is actually harder the more people you play with, and the game is blatantly made for coop play anyway.

Might want to (re?)read the last sentence in his post.

I just picked this game up. I'm only a level 7 but it seems pretty fun. Waiting till I get further to pick up the 1st DLC.

joydestroy5675d ago

when you get to new haven is when it becomes the most fun imo. and old haven is the most challenging place to fight the baddies.

Great FPS Diablo game. My _only_ issue is the respawns. Would prefer that areas only respawn when you log out and back in.

so glad I returned the unopened game for the PS3..I bought it than read at the official forums about all the problems..so never opened it and waited for 2 weeks for a fix...Game was released totally broken..VOIP didnt work, lost game saves, horrific frame rate is still broken..has VOIP issues. I played it at a neighbors house this week and the game is still farked...now we know why...GearBox rather sell expansion packs vs fix their broken released game.
If you disagree, at least say what version you have, than I will know if you are full of BS

Syko5675d ago

I didn't disagree, and I know that the PS3 version has had it's problems...but honestly this game has ran like a dream on my 360, I installed it to the HDD right away so I can't speak for it running off the disc. All of the Multi-Player and everything else worked perfect though and it is my favorite game this year.

Sucks though if they haven't fixed the problems on the PS3 version yet...

I got the ps3 version and it runs perfectly online. May be it's your connection problem?

Despite Borderlands Movie Flop, Series Saw Boost in Sales; Take-Two to Be Selective on Licensing IPs

Take-Two admits the Borderlands movie was disappointing, though it still contributed to the game catalog's sales.

-Foxtrot227d ago

"we don’t really need to break out the contribution from the film because while it was economically positive"

Come on, there was nothing positive about it, it literally bled money...not really economically.

Daeloki226d ago

No there was not. The same way there was no Dragon Ball live action movie, nor an Avatar the Last Airbender live action movie :)

Polish a turd to make a what?!

DefenderOfDoom2226d ago (Edited 226d ago )

So the movie cost 155 million to produce and another 30 million dollars to promote . Borderlands movie brought in around 31 million worldwide . So basically, the Borderlands movie was a 154 million commercial for Borderlands video game franchise.
