According to a Reuters report citing research firm NPD, the United States game sales has jumped by 25% for the month of June, that's a good $844.5 million dollars. The increase has been credited to the portable Nintendo DS Lite handheld console and the sales of THQ's Cars.
Video game software sales in itself has increased by 15%, leading the industry to a total of $444.4 million dollars, with hardware sales overcoming leaps and bounds from $200.7 million dollars in June '05 to nearly $298 million this year.
